2-Day Fashion Photography and modeling Workshop in Amsterdam
In this 2-day weekend course, you will be guided by fashion photographer Nancy Schoenmakers to create a fashion series of models across iconic locations in Amsterdam. You will work with professional models and make-up artists. By the end of the workshop, you will receive a certificate of participation!
Basic photography knowledge is required, and you must bring your own camera and laptop or iPad. Lessons are conducted in English, and everyone aged 18–70 is welcome.
The Program- 2 MAY
📍NDSM wharf
Step into the industrial heart of Amsterdam at NDSM, one of the city’s most photogenic and creative locations. This day is all about exploring the edgy, urban side of fashion photography, where the dramatic textures, raw architecture, and vibrant street energy provide endless opportunities for striking and dynamic shots.
You will learn to:

Capture bold, expressive street-style portraits

Experiment with light, composition, and perspective in a unique industrial environment

Push your creativity and storytelling while working with diverse backdrops

Finish the day with a sunset shoot, using golden hour lighting to create cinematic, warm portraits
Every shoot is hands-on, giving you practical guidance while leaving space to develop your own artistic style. By the end of the day, you’ll have a series of stunning images that will elevate your portfolio.
The Program- 3 may
📍museum plein, Jordaan, canals
Experience the classic charm of Amsterdam along its canals and the open elegance of Museumplein. This day is designed to teach you how to capture fashion in some of the city’s most iconic and visually inspiring locations.
You will learn to:

Take romantic, editorial portraits along canals, bridges, and picturesque streets

Use intimate alleyways and reflections in the water to create unique compositions

Explore the open, modern spaces of Museumplein for clean, fashion-forward shots

Experiment with light, perspective, and storytelling across diverse urban backdrops
Each shoot is hands-on, giving you practical skills and the freedom to explore your own creative voice. By the end of the day, you will have a cohesive series of images ready to showcase your style and vision.

Accommodation:
Accommodation is not included, but we can provide a list of recommended hotels nearby if you are traveling from outside the Netherlands. This makes it easier to plan your stay and ensure you are close to all shooting locations.
